The activity will be in French.

Join the artist Monica Brinkman at Placottoir in Parc du canal de Soulanges to create a terracotta pot for your plant.

All materials will be provided for crafting your pot, which will be approximately 5 to 6 inches in terracotta. The activity is open to everyone, and 15 participants will be admitted.

Reservations will be on a first-come, first-served! Happy crafting!

About Monica Brinkman:

She is a mosaic artist who has been creating contemporary-style mosaics for 13 years. Her artistic journey began in childhood with patchwork sewing and collecting seashells and sea glass on her grandparents' cottage beach in New Brunswick. Her inspiration stems primarily from social issues, justice, peace, and her community; people and their stories, and of course, her childhood. While her work blends craftsmanship and art, she is also inspired by the variety of materials available to her, their colors, textures, light, and all the possibilities they bring.

Stretching on 23.5 km, the Canal de Soulanges is an old waterway that connects the municipalities of Pointe-des-Cascades, Les Cedres, Coteau-du-Lac and Les Coteaux. Inaugurated in 1899 and closed to navigation in 1959, the Canal de Soulanges is considered a major heritage in Vaudreuil-Soulanges. Take a ride of bicycle on the Soulanges bike path along the canal towards the municipalities of Saint-Zotique and Rivière-Beaudette. Discover the major points such as the Village des Écluses, the Parc des Ancres, the locks, the Petit Pouvoir and l'Embouchure on your way. The parking lots are at : Pointe-des-Cascades (67, ch. du Fleuve), Les Cèdres (Saint-Féréol near of the intersection of route 338), Coteau-du-Lac (20, rue Principale) and Les Coteaux (51, chemin du Fleuve).
