Newcomer with kids explores VS!

Newcomer with kids explores VS!
14 juillet 2016

I am the mother of two young girls under the age of 10. I am also, from the perspective of those who have deep roots in this off-island region, new to Vaudreuil-Soulanges. I have in fact been living here for just over six years. As with many newcomers to the region, I have a different ethnic background. To be perfectly honest though, I “partly” have a different ethnic background. My mom is Québécoise and my dad hails from Punjab, India. I was born and raised in the West Island.

Establishing myself here when I was pregnant with my second daughter, I was keen on finding work close to home and discovering my new community. And what a journey it has been! I have fallen in love with Vaudreuil-Soulanges and the many activities and attractions it has to offer to mothers like myself.  From kayaking in the Baie de Vaudreuil off Maison-Valois park, to enjoying the numerous circus, music and equestrian-themed festivals to taking a moment to enjoy some culinary delights in all corners of the region make sure you take the time to ExploreVS for it is sure to have something especially for young families.

For allophones or non-francophones with children, there are tons of things to see and do if you let yourself be guided by your children’s curiosity and perhaps even your own!
