Pianist Jean-Philippe Sylvestre, described as a piano poet by the conductor, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, will perform contrasting pieces during this evening allowing him to express musicality at his highest level.

He received the prestigious Virginia Parker Award, the highest honour bestowed by the Canada Council for the Arts and the first prize in the Montreal Symphony Orchestra competition. He is also the winner of the Radio-Canada National Young Performers Competition and the International Concertino Praga Competition.

On the program: J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart, Frédéric Chopin, Maurice Ravel, André Mathieu and Mili Balakirev.
