Vaudreuil-Dorion

An orchestra to live better

Using period instruments to bring out the authentic sounds and textures of the world’s favourite classical compositions, the OSVHSL is a professional chamber orchestra that is dedicated to performing baroque, Romantic, and post-Romantic pieces live in venues across the Upper St. Lawrence River Valley. Led by founder and conductor Daniel Constantineau, who studied under Charles Dutoît and Serge Garant, the symphony consists of 15 to 45 professional musicians playing strings, winds, and percussion on the precise instruments the compositions were originally designed for. Aside from the concerts, the symphony plays at numerous regional benefits and festivals throughout the year, bringing our culture’s most beautiful music to everyone with open hearts and ears.
