The 27 kilometres of trails situated at the heart of Mont Rigaud are L’Escapade’s gift to nature lovers. Well-marked trails guide hikers through an enchanting old-growth forest, teeming with towering maples, birches, and hemlocks, evidence of human activity in days past, and a mysterious rock field. In summer, trails are open for horseback riding and hiking, while in winter cross-country skiers and snowshoers can practice their sport in safety.
The trails are free for all, open from sunrise to sunset, and will take you through some of the richest, untouched natural land in the region. The trails are also an ideal place to watch for birds and other wildlife, and visitors with keen eyes should stay on the look-out for a huge variety of flora and fungi. The mountain trails vary from short and easy to longer and more advanced, making it a good choice for hikers of all ages and physical abilities.
