About

Explore Vaudreuil-Soulanges is the result of an agreement between the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges and its economic development organization (DEV Vaudreuil-Soulanges) to organize the region’s tourism industry.

After receiving a mandate to coordinate tourism promotion and development in the region, DEV decided to create a brand-new website to reflect the region’s many attractions.

This site allows tourists, citizens, and businesses to discover what to do, where to eat, and where to sleep in this vast and charming region. These days it is impossible to promote oneself without a responsive website, which is why explorevs.com aims to help local businesses gain greater visibility in the region and beyond. If you’re not on the web, you simply don’t exist!

Mission

The website came together thanks to a consulting committee dedicated to:

  • Promoting Vaudreuil-Soulanges to a diverse clientele while focusing on the region’s tourist attractions.

  • Encouraging local partners and attractions to collaborate on promoting and developing new and exciting projects.

  • Providing a recognized platform to maximize the visibility of regional attractions.

  • Improving the tools used to welcome tourists by providing local businesses with a complete and up-to-date showcase of the region.

On the road from Montréal to Toronto, or Montréal to Ottawa, Vaudreuil-Soulanges offers its visitors an array of choices that makes the local tourism industry one of its most important economic activities.

The organization

Developpement Vaudreuil-Soulanges is acting as a non-profit organization serving the touristic and economic development in the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges. DEV aims to become a leader in sustainable economic development and an organizational benchmark in the industry.
Specifically, the team must coordinate the various support services to entrepreneurs and promote industrial development, trade, tourism, rural and agri-food industry of the territory.

One of the major values that propels us forward is openness. We believe that to approach tourism with a large and unrestricted vision, integrating commerce, culture, and citizens, is to ensure success and set Vaudreuil-Soulanges apart from other tourist destinations in Québec and beyond.

With this collaborative vision in mind, each and every tourist attraction is a partner and ambassador for the region of Vaudreuil-Soulanges. ExploreVS aims to align all the stakeholders in the industry around a common goal; we believe that the power of mutual commitment makes this happen better than with a traditional membership model.

All businesses with a tourist vocation or that might be interesting for visitors to the region are invited to contact us for information about becoming a part of ExploreVS.com.

Local Partners

A tourist region with a character as diverse and dynamic as Vaudreuil-Soulanges requires close collaboration with a number of regional and extra-regional partners. From nearby and far away, here are a few of the partners promoting our beautiful region.

Here are some of our neighbours! We are nestled between Eastern Ontario and Montréal, meaning that we get to work with the many regions that surround us.
A booming region needs an image that reflects its energy and rhythms. What we came up with is a strong, striking symbol composed by vibrant colours that invoke the region’s dynamic nature while paying homage to the cultural diversity of the community. The prominent triangle form seen throughout acts as a reference to the shape of the unique and distinct territory of Vaudreuil-Soulanges.

The union of the ‘V’ and the ‘S’ allows us to read meaning in every direction. Lines extend north, south, east, and west to express the accessibility and openness of citizens belonging to a region with the wind in its sails. With this theme in mind, the logo takes inspiration partly from kites and flags, both of which have the ability to take flight. These aren’t the only elements that draw power from nature: human beings do too. The silhouette of the human form is an emblematic figure that evolves in tandem with all the components of a stimulating and animated environment.

A symbol of exchange, sharing, and reflection, we imagined a trademark image that is difficult to ignore yet easy to adopt; now, all that remains is for the region to imagine what’s next.
